Animated Tricorder to be used as a background image in another page

The above image, picture or animated GIF is a prototype. A version of this will be used in future episodes of our Star Trek sim for events that transpire and for a game for this games page.
We have previously used a version of this in our Star Trek Sim with much success.
How will this work when it is finished? A tricoder picture is made as original art based and then animated. This tricorder image is used on this page as an inserted image to show you the process. The next link will show you it as a background image.
Soon, I will add text and code it such that it moves across the area where the display screen is. After I learn image mapping, each of this buttons will link to different pages to create the illusion that one can change the functions on the tricorder.
